Paula Barnes' latest collection recalls the popularity of the colour pink in antique quilts of the 1800's. The most popular shade of the era was known as a "Double Pink," created with a darker shade of pink dyed over a lighter shade. You'll see it combined with yellow, red, green, indigo and of course, brown, one of the earliest fabric colours used because readily-available roots were used to dye the fabric. As a result, pink and brown quilts evolved, and remain a timeless colour combination to this day. The collection features Paula's signature floral wallpaper stripe and coordinates, blended with neutrals for added decorator appeal.
