About the Class

Class starts at 10am until 4pm
Will need some sewing machine experience.
During this workshop I will show you how to build up layers fabric of colour & texture to create the charm and characters of animals.
The aspects covered in the day are collage and basic free embroidery/ quilting.
An inspiring scrap basket to help you create your picture, included in the price.
The Hare in the main photo was created by a student, but you may have seen my Highland Cattle wall hanging that's been around for a few years!
These gentle giants make great subjects for textiles, or you can bring a picture of the animal of your choice. My Frog, lizard & geese are popular and you could base your ideas on any of these.
Bring a photo or picture of the animal you want to do on the day.
This Class is also for Ages 12 and up
On Holiday ? Sewing machine hire available for £5
Refreshments provided mid morning & afternoon. Please bring a packed lunch or pocket money for one of our independent cafes on South Street.
