Sashiko stitching sheets from Olympus.
Do not pre-wash.
These are traditional Japanese designs worked on the well known indigo cloth.
Each one measures 34x70cm, leaving you with enough to either sew the sashiko as a double layer, sew as a single layer and have enough fabric to make a cushion or have a go at another pattern.
These are also great for beginners to sew and enthusiastic children, it is just a case of following the lines.
Use a white thicker thread. I hope to stock these soon. 'Coton a broder' or thick single strand embroidery thread is ideal.
I you want a contemporary feel why not use a variegated thread or even a metallic!
